How to measure your head
Takes thirty seconds. You need a soft tape measure, or a piece of string and a ruler.
- Wrap a soft tape around your head about 1 inch (two finger widths) above your eyebrows and just above the tops of your ears. That is where the cap band sits.
- Keep the tape level and snug, not tight. It should not dig in. Read the number where the tape meets itself.
- Find that number in the chart. Between two sizes? Go up. A flat cap should settle on, not squeeze.
Good to know
- No tape measure? Use a piece of string or a shoelace, mark where it meets, then lay it flat against a ruler.
- Buying a gift? Check the inside band of a hat they already wear, or measure a hat that fits them well.
- Wool relaxes a little with wear and the warmth of your head. Polyester, cotton, and leather do not.
- Still not sure? Send us your measurement and we will tell you which size to order.
